Sencova* is a steel fabricator specialising in structural steel engineering and construction. They have been leading the industry for more than 35 years and are a trusted force behind some of Australia’s largest and most iconic construction projects.
Previously known as Gay Constructions they had built a strong reputation in the marketplace, however, they wished to create a revitalised brand that could take them into the future acknowledging how far they had come as a company, as craftsmen and as industry performers. The new brand had to be respectful to their heritage which dated back decades, keeping a link to their past. It also had to be able to stand on its own with a degree of separation from their parent company, Spaceframe.
Focusing on the industry-leading ethos of quality, safety and performance, DAIS created a new brand to reflect the fresh, focused market leader the brand had become. The overarching brand strategy defined ‘who’ they would be as a brand and every detail of how this would be communicated from both an internal and external perspective.
The Sencova* name was constructed out of a blend of the words that summarise what they confidently deliver each and every day: Steel ENgineering COnstruction VAlue: SENCOVA
Sencova*’s visual identity was derived from an asterisk or star form that was positioned to the end of the Sencova* logo. It was created to be a reflection of their reputation for delivering star performance, superior quality and safety to every project they encounter.
