Building on a 50-year legacy.

Planned Cover is a well-established insurance business providing their clients with risk solutions tailored to the planning and designing industry. To mark their 50 year anniversary, the team engaged DAIS to update their brand to a fresh, modern and considered word mark designed to achieve two strategic objectives:

  • Shift their positioning from speaking to architects only to target the broader ‘built environment’ market while having greater relevancy to early career professionals.
  • Evolve their offering from a list of specific insurance services to a holistic solution.

Time for an evolution

By facilitating workshops with the leadership team and Board of Directors, we were able to understand Planned Cover’s history, needs and strategic direction. Thorough market and competitor research determined that their brand did not reflect their full service offering, or their high stature in the industry. As they moved towards their 50-year celebration, they needed a brand that connected the entire organisation with clarity and focus so they could build on their legacy for the future.

A full circle of support

Planned Cover provides clients with a full circle of professional risk solutions. They are highly specialised in the planning and designing industry, understanding the nuanced needs and requirements of these specific professions. The brand promise ‘professional protection’ creates a meaningful and activated positioning statement for both what the clients receive and the standard for the team. Combined with the technical descriptor ‘Risk Solutions’ and solution streams ‘advice, insurance, representation’, the new brand communicates their key proposition and its value beyond just ‘insurance’.

Consistency is everything

The brand strategy delivered Planned Cover a modern and fresh new brand that created clarity across the organisation about who they are, what they do and what their brand represents. Being prepared for this new era required providing the brand foundations, creative concepts and direction for the website, brand video, brand tools, templates and corporate collateral. DAIS also supported the transition with ongoing brand advice to ensure the new brand was applied across press ads, pull up banners and other marketing collateral with consistency.
